About Castelton House - Quality Accommodation

Peter and Gail have been married for over 20 years and have two sons. They have lived in a number of places in the UK and moved to Castleton House in the Spring of 2002, since then they have been gradually restoring and decorating the house.

The Bed and Breakfast business started in 2004 and Gail was short-listed for 'Landlady of the Year' on her first AA inspection!

Our quality accommodation in Mere has been awarded "4 star Bed and Breakfast" status from Enjoy England.

Green Tourism Award

Whilst offering Bed and Breakfast we do try to do all we can to protect our environment and Gail was thrilled to be given a silver award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme in December 2008.  Applying to join the scheme has given the business and ourselves a new focus on how we try to live our lives.  Further information regarding what we do can be found in our environmental policy.

We continue to enjoy welcoming visitors to our home and will do all we can to help you enjoy your stay. We are happy to give advice about taxi services, where to eat and often book tables at local restaurants. Our guests frequently plan their day over breakfast and we are always very happy to help. We regularly lend maps, look up information on the web and share our extensive local knowledge of Wiltshire and the surrounding country.
