Castleton House B&B is also fortunate enough to be particularly well suited for cyclists and walkers. Being just a short walk away from the town's pubs and restaurants means evening meals are easy to access and bicycles can be kept securely undercover in our walled garden.

Cycling in Wiltshire

Mere is on the Wiltshire Cycleway, we usually keep maps of the route or they can be picked up from the local Tourist information Centres. Wiltshire boasts great on or off road cycling.

Hiking in Wiltshire

The Monarch's Way www.monarchsway.50megs.com is nearby, also local walks on Mere Down and around Stourhead the World-famous 18th-century landscape garden and Palladian mansion are nearby. Within 150 yards of Castleton House B&B you can be off the road and into the Wiltshire countryside.
