This fair offers a rich and fun programme of events, country activities, stands and entertainment. It hosts one of the largest Rare Breed Shows in the country and is in one of the finest settings in the South West – a day out for all ages.
The Bath & West Show 1st – 4th June 2016
A great treat for half term, this large agricultural show has something for all the family, cattle, sheep, pigs, hens, bees etc, along with a floral marquee, food hall and plenty more shopping too
Chalke Valley History Festival, 27th June – 3 July 2016
This is a wonderful week long event of excellent lectures and re-enactments, with plenty of booksellers and other stallholders. Pick and choose which lectures you would like to hear.
Larmer Tree Festival 13 – 17 July 2016
Set in the beautiful Larmer Tree Gardens and lively family festival with a good line-up
Gillingham & Shaftesbury Show 17th August 2016
An old fashioned argicultural show with cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, rabbits. bees, horses, dogs, food, shopping and events – a must for those who love the countryside
Great Dorset Steam Fair 24-29 August
The biggest event of its kind in the world and attracts visitors globally too. Come for the whole five days or just a night or two!

Saturday 16th May – Triathlon at Stourhead
Race is a Saturday afternoon/evening. The swim is a single 900m lap of the Lake at Stourhead. The bike a single lap taking in a visit to Wiltshire and Somerset, and the final run is based largely in the grounds of the Stourhead Estate. It will take your breath away in more ways than one.

A unique opportunity to see the wide range of art being carried out in this area. Visit open studios, exhibitions and galleries. Meet and talk to artists and craftspeople.
24th May – 8th June, Salisbury International Arts Festival
Since 2009 the Festival has delivered more free events than ever. More than half of all Festival attendances in 2012 were to free events – 48,000 free attendances of a total 80,000 created a palpable sense of celebration in the region.
