Situated in the heart of Mere, nestled in the Wiltshire/Somerset borders and close to Dorset, Castleton House is a comfortable family home offering bed and breakfast with en-suite rooms. Twin, double and/or family rooms are available.

Mere Village Centre

Mere is a one minute drive South of the A303 mid way between London and Cornwall, and a five minute drive from the National Trust's house and gardens at Stourhead. Much of the area to the North of the village has been designated an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the centre of Mere, including Castle Street, is classified as a Conservation area. Castleton House is in the perfect location to visit much of stunning South West England, such as Shaftesbury, Warminster, Wincanton, Gillingham, Stourhead, Longleat, Stonehenge and much more.

There is free parking available at our front door and off street parking can be arranged on request. Local pubs and restaurants are a short walk away. Our two guest bedrooms are situated on the first floor, as is our drawing room. Here guests are welcome to sink into the comfortable sofas and unwind after a long day.
