Breakfast, they say is the most important meal of the day, and we do all we can to make it so during a stay here.
The ground floor dining room has a traditional feel, yet is comfortable and spacious enough for you to be happy to spend time browsing over your book or a newspaer paper. We try where possible to provide home grown fruit for breakfast and this could be rhubarb, raspberries, spiced apple puree or plums. Jams and marmalade are home made.
We know too how breakfast can be a particularly personal choice and so along with a traditional full English breakfast we offer vegetarian options with mushrooms, tomatoes, vegetarian sausages and eggs cooked to your choice or vegetarian eggs benedict – with field mushrooms replacing the ham. Gluten and dairy free breakfasts are available too.
Breakfast is usually served between 8.00 and 9.30 am. If you have an early start or think you’ll need a longer time in bed it is possible for us to provide ‘breakfast in a bag’ – cereal bars, Danish pastries, fruit and fruit juice.
