At the end of each summer and as the quieter time for me here in Mere begins I’m finding time to write an autumn newsletter. We’ve enjoyed a glorious summer and been busy with lots of new customers and many repeat visitors, of course it’s lovely seeing people again and catching up with their news.
Apart from the business keeping me on my toes I’ve had a bumper crop of soft fruit from our allotment and have never had the larder so full of jars of jam – damson, plum, raspberry and blackcurrant. All of which are making appearances on the breakfast table.
Half term is just around the corner now and we’re giving away tickets to Longleat for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) between Monday 28th and Thursday 31st October. For a chance to win all you have to do is ‘like’ Castleton House B&B on Facebook and share the post about the competition; I will pick a winner at random on the 20th October. A condition of the prize is that the lucky family must stay her for their visit to Longleat. I hope this will appeal to some of you or perhaps you have family members who might like to win the tickets.
